Celebrate Global Running Day & Find Your Edge This June With New Threshold Workouts
Today is Global Running Day, a celebration of the sport that brings runners around the world together. To help you celebrate, we are introducing four new threshold sessions to the Workout of the Week Library to help you find your edge by building strength, improving endurance, and becoming more comfortable running at hard, sustainable intensities.
Whether you are training for your next race or simply looking to elevate your fitness, these workouts will challenge your ability to hold steady effort, stay controlled under fatigue, and improve your durability mile after mile.
Let’s dive into the new workouts released to the Workout Library this month.

Run Stronger Every Mile With New Threshold Sessions
Each workout released this month is designed to help you sustain harder efforts with greater control by building endurance, improving fatigue resistance, and increasing your ability to hold strong, steady pacing deeper into your runs.
- The Metronome: You will start with a 12 minute warmup. Then, you will run six sets of 3 minutes at your 10K power with 80 seconds easy in between. You will end with a 12 minute cool down.
- Stack & Step: You will start with a 10 minute warmup. Then, you will run three sets of 1000 meters at your half marathon to 10K power with 2 minutes easy in between, recovery for an additional 1 minute, and finish with three more sets of 1000 meters at your 10K power with 2 minutes easy in between. You will end with a 10 minute cool down.
- Triple Rise: You will start with a 15 minute warmup. Then, you will run 8 minutes slightly below your 10k power, 2 minutes easy, 8 minutes at your 10k power, 2 minutes easy, and finish with 8 minutes at your 5k power. You will end with a 10 minute cool down.
- Hold The Line: You will start with a 12 minute warmup. Then, you will run four sets of 20 second strides with 2 minutes easy and finish with 20 minutes at your half marathon power. You will end with a 10 minute cool down.
