Ever left your Stryd pod behind and wished you could still input your activity into your Stryd profile? This feature is now a reality.
We're excited to unveil a new feature in the Stryd mobile app: manual activity creation!
This feature is specifically designed to help you maintain a complete Stryd profile even when you do not run with Stryd.
You can accurately calculate your Running Stress Score, Running Stress Balance, contribute to your Power Duration Curve, track shoe mileage, and much more via the newly introduced manual activity creation.

New: Creating manual activities is as easy as estimating distance, time, and power
With just three simple inputs - distance, duration, and average power output - you can seamlessly create a manual activity entry on your Stryd calendar. It's a breeze!
If you are running with a recording device like a sports watch or smartphone to record time and distance, this process becomes even simpler. You'll already have the duration and distance of your run at your fingertips. All you'll have to do is make an informed guess about your average power output to complete your manual activity entry.
It's all about making your Stryd experience as easy as possible!
Tip: If you have run a similar effort to the manual activity entry in the past, you can use the average power value from that run as a guide when estimating your power.
New: Accurately track Running Stress Balance with manual activity entry
Running Stress Balance serves as your personal fitness progress guide, informing you about the efficacy of your recent training sessions.
With this information, you can determine if you're allowing for sufficient rest to reap the optimal benefits from your training, leading you to that ideal training load "sweet spot". This empowers you with the best shot at hastening your fitness improvements and reaching your goals in record time.
The manual activity entry feature makes Running Stress Balance your guide, providing you with accurate Running Stress Balance tracking, even when you don’t run with your Stryd pod. This ensures you always maintain that ideal balance in your training load, making your path to peak run fitness as smooth as possible.
New: Fill in your Power Duration Curve
Have you achieved a personal best, but did not bring your Stryd pod along?
The manual activity entry feature is here to save the day. This feature lets you contribute to your Power Duration Curve, keeping track of your top performances, and ensuring your Critical Power remains current.
An accurate Critical Power is crucial because it acts as your personal fitness gauge, presenting a singular value indicating whether your overall running fitness is progressing or regressing. Secondly, Critical Power guides your training regimen, setting the bar for power targets and training zones and dictating the ideal training intensity.
The manual activity entry feature adds a new level of flexibility and powerful control to your training, making your journey with Stryd more fulfilling and effective — even in cases you do not run with the Stryd pod.
New: Comprehensively track shoe mileage with manual activity entry
Every shoe has a lifespan. Don't risk missing your best performance or unnecessarily risk injury by running in expired and worn-out shoes.
The new manual activity entry feature allows you to keep tabs on shoe mileage for all your runs, regardless of whether you were wearing your Stryd pod or not.
Once you hit this mileage cap, you will be reminded to thoroughly check out your shoe to see if you can put more miles into them or if you should consider replacing that pair with a new model!
Getting Started with manual activity creation in the Stryd mobile app
Please follow these instructions to create a manual activity in the Stryd mobile app
- Please update to the latest version of the Stryd iOS app (>v8.1.0) or Stryd Android app (>v8.12.49) and open the Stryd app.
- Go to the calendar tab
- Tap on the "Plus" button in the top right corner
- Select “Add Run Manually”
- Select a date and input the estimated distance, moving time, and average power for the activity
- Tap Next
- Input other details on your run such as title, run type, shoes, and then tap "Save" to create your activity
