BEYOND 62 | Inside Charlie Lawrence’s New 100K American Record
Watch Charlie Lawrence's 100K World Record Attempt
Charlie Lawrence, the 50 Mile World Record holder, is on a mission to become the best ultramarathoner in the world. In December, he stepped to the line with one clear goal: break the 6-hour barrier in the 100K. Fueled by precision and grit, he delivered a standout performance and crossed the finish line in 6:07:10, earning a new American Record.
To chase that barrier, Charlie chose one of the toughest proving grounds in the sport: 250 laps around the track at Camelback High School. That kind of effort demands a relentless pace from the gun and the ability to fight through the toughest moments late in the race. With every lap, the margin for error shrinks, and the challenge becomes less about talent and more about staying locked into a perfectly executed plan.
Performances like this come down to getting every detail right, especially pacing with control and staying steady when fatigue hits. That’s exactly what Stryd is built for, helping runners train and race with power-based insights and accurate pacing so you can stay on plan and execute when it matters most.
Charlie set a new American Record and proved he’s right on the edge of something historic, setting the stage for what comes next.
