Watch Episode 1 of Clayton Young's World Championship Build

Clayton Young is preparing to take on the Marathon World Championships in Tokyo on September 15, 2025. After a breakout year in 2024, making his first Olympic team and finishing in the top 10 in the world, he enters this season with ambitious goals and the momentum to chase them.

In the first episode of his World Championships build, Clayton takes us behind the scenes with less than seven weeks until race day. This episode features a quick trip to Maine, for a tune-up race at the Beach to Beacon 10K. He clocked a new personal best of 27:58, finishing 8th place in his fastest 10K on road or track.

Clayton headed to the Stryd app post race to review the data and had proof that his progress is on track.

After my race, the 'critical power' in the Stryd app updated, confirming that my training is translating well to overall fitness. It also indicates that I am ready for a new personal best in the marathon.
