Chasing Records | Watch Charlie Lawrence’s 24-Mile Long Run to Build Durability with Stryd

Watch the 50-Mile World Record Holder's Latest Long Run Workout
Charlie Lawrence, the 50-Mile World Record Holder, gives us an inside look at a key long run in his buildup to the 100K World Record attempt this fall. This 24-mile session with alternating pace was designed to challenge his durability, test fueling strategies, and simulate race-day fatigue.
While logging 155 miles during the week, Charlie used Stryd to track his Leg Spring Stiffness (LSS). The data showed he maintained strong LSS throughout the run, which helped him stay responsive deep into the workout.
“Right now we’re working on durability and metabolic efficiency over the course of 50K, 50 miles, even 100K. A big part of that is going to be Leg Spring Stiffness (LSS), how durable I am, how basically poppy my legs can stay throughout the course of a workout. The idea with going back and forth paces here was to fatigue the legs in a different way and practice burning fuel differently.”
