Offline Sync Just Got Smarter: No Duplicated Runs and Complete Duo Metrics on COROS, Suunto, & Polar Watches

Offline Sync Just Got Smarter: No Duplicated Runs and Complete Duo Metrics on COROS, Suunto, & Polar Watches

Your post-run data just got simpler and more complete.

With Stryd's improved offline sync, duplicate runs are eliminated and Stryd Duo runners using COROS, Suunto, and Polar watches can now view their complete balance metrics in a single activity.

Here is what’s new:

  • No more duplicated runs after offline sync
  • Stryd Duo balance metrics now merge into COROS, Suunto, & Polar activities
  • One activity with your complete post-run data

Let’s take a closer look at this new update.

A Smarter Way to Sync

Offline sync is now smarter than ever before.

When you sync your Stryd pod after a run, Stryd automatically compares every run stored on your pod with the activities already uploaded from your watch. Each run is displayed in the new Review Synced Runs screen with a match percentage and a recommended action, making it easy to confirm everything before saving.

Instead of wondering whether you'll end up with duplicate activities or missing data, Stryd helps you keep one clean, complete record of every run.

Each run receives one of four badges:

New Run
No matching watch activity was found. Save it as a brand-new run.

Duplicate
A matching activity already exists with complete metrics. This run can be safely discarded.

Mergable
A matching watch activity is missing Stryd metrics. Merge the two into one complete activity.

Needs Review
Stryd couldn't confidently match this run. Review it and choose the appropriate action.

For every run, you'll choose one of three actions:

  • Discard a duplicate you've already saved.
  • Save it as a new activity.
  • Merge it with a matching watch activity to create one complete run.

In most cases, Stryd recommends the correct action automatically, so confirming your sync only takes a few taps.

The result is simple: one run, complete data, and no duplicate activities cluttering your calendar.

Stryd Duo Balance Metrics Now Merge for COROS, Suunto, & Polar

The Merge action unlocks something even big for Stryd Duo runners.

If you're using a COROS, Suunto, or Polar watch, your Stryd Duo balance metrics can now be merged directly into your watch activity. Instead of splitting your data across multiple activities, you'll see your complete running data together in a single run.

After syncing, you'll have access to:

  • Ground Contact Time Balance
  • Vertical Ratio
  • Vertical Oscillation Balance
  • Leg Spring Stiffness Balance
  • Impact Loading Rate Balance

Together, these metrics provide a deeper view of your running symmetry and efficiency. Track changes over time, evaluate your running progression, and better understand what changes lead to your best performances.

One Run. One Complete Dataset.

This update makes offline sync smarter and your running data more complete.

Stryd now automatically matches offline runs with your watch activities, recommends the correct action for each run, and helps eliminate duplicate activities from your calendar.

For Stryd Duo runners using COROS, Suunto, and Polar watches, it also brings your complete balance metrics into the same activity as your watch data, giving you a more complete picture of every run.

Update to the latest version of the Stryd app, head out for your next run, and experience one run with all of your data in one place.
