Tap Into Your Speed Reserve With These New Workouts

This July, we are thrilled to launch five new workouts to the Workout Library to help you run faster and race your best. 

From short repeats that sharpen your turnover to longer sustained 5K and 10K efforts, these workouts are built to help you tap into your speed reserve, recover faster between hard pushes, and make race effort feel more comfortable and repeatable over time. 

Let’s dive into the new workouts released this month. 


Check Out the New Workouts to Find Your Next Gear

Each workout this month is designed to help you find another gear by developing race-specific power, training your body to handle surges and sustained speed, and building the fitness that makes fast feel controlled.

  • The Charge: After a 15 minute warmup, you will tackle four sets that alternate between 45 seconds slightly above 5K power, 60 seconds easy, 3 minutes at 5K power, and 3 minutes easy. A rhythm that builds intensity before pulling back. You will finish with a 15 minute cooldown.
  • The Launcher: After a progressive 15 minute warmup, you will run four sets of 3 minutes at 5K power with 2 minutes easy, then shift into four 20 seconds strides just above 5K power with 60 seconds easy between each. You will close out with a 10 minute cooldown.
  • The Pyramid: After a 15 minute warmup, you will work your way through 2 minutes at 5K power, 4 minutes at 10K power, and 6 minutes at 10K power with 2 minutes easy between each before working back down with a 4 minute and 2 minute repeat. You will finish with a 15 minute cooldown.
  • The Switchback: After a 15 minute warmup, you will run four sets of 90 seconds at 10K power and 90 seconds at 5K power, closing each set with 3 minutes easy. You will finish with a 10 minute cooldown.
  • The Proving Ground: After a 15 minute warmup, you will start with two 20 second strides before moving into four sets of 2 minutes at 5K power with 90 seconds easy, then close with 6 minutes at 10K power. You will end the workout with a 10 minute cooldown.
