What’s New: Schedule Workouts, Analyze Completed Training Sessions, Manage Workout Data, and Plan Races
The enhanced Coach’s View builds on the existing functionality, which allows coaches to monitor athletes’ training progress, fitness improvements, and compliance with training plans. Now, with these new features, coaches have a comprehensive toolset to manage every aspect of their athletes’ power-based training, making their jobs easier and more impactful.
1. Schedule Workouts with Ease
Coaches can now create and assign workouts directly within the Stryd PowerCenter, leveraging the Workout Library to craft personalized, power-based sessions tailored to each athlete’s fitness level and goals. Whether it’s a high-intensity interval session to boost power & efficiency or a long endurance run to improve fatigue resistance, coaches can schedule workouts that align with an athlete’s Power Duration Curve and Critical Power. This ensures every run is intentional, perfectly paced, and optimized for performance gains.
Coaches have access to their own coaching workout library and the athlete’s personal workout library to select workouts from, enabling them to build training quickly and effectively.
- Impact: Scheduling workouts enables centralizing planning in the PowerCenter. Coaches can quickly assign workouts to specific days on the calendar ensuring athletes train at the right intensity to run faster and smarter.
2. Pair Planned Workouts with Completed Activities
The Planned vs. Actual comparison feature allows coaches to pair planned workouts with athletes’ completed activities, providing a clear view of how well athletes are adhering to their training plans. By analyzing metrics like Running Stress Score (RSS), power zones, and duration, coaches can see if an athlete hit their target intensity or deviated from the plan.

3. Upload and Edit Run Activity Data, including Notes
Coaches can now upload and edit run activity data directly in the PowerCenter, including trimming activities to focus on relevant segments and adding notes to activities.
- Impact: The ability to upload and edit data ensures precision in tracking progress. Coaches can make necessary corrections to activities to ensure the data is an accurate representation of the athlete’s effort.
4. Plan Races with the Race Power Calculator
Coaches can now upload race course profiles to the athlete’s Race Power Calculator directly through the Stryd PowerCenter, enabling precise race-day strategies tailored to specific course conditions.*
This powerful tool factors in variables like elevation gain, temperature, humidity, and altitude, providing athletes with personalized power targets to pace their races perfectly. By leveraging race planning, coaches can help athletes avoid overexertion, manage fatigue, and surge past competitors, even in challenging conditions like heat or hilly terrain.
- Impact: The Race Power Calculator empowers coaches to create data-driven race plans that maximize performance. Athletes can execute their races with confidence, knowing their pacing accounts for environmental factors and their unique fitness profile, leading to faster finishes and smarter recoveries. (*Note: The athlete must be a Pioneer or have an active Stryd Membership for the athlete and coach to use the Race Power Calculator on the account.)
