Chasing a World Record: Can the Right Shoe Make You 7 Minutes Faster?
Last week, 50 Mile World Record holder Charlie Lawrence visited the Stryd Performance Lab for a shoe efficiency test from both metabolic and mechanical perspectives.
The goal of this test was to determine which shoe would best suit him for his upcoming 100K world record attempt.
Stryd's Exercise Physiologist Kaeo Kruse performed the test, analyzing everything from VO2 to leg spring stiffness and more, and the results were game-changing.
Curious which shoe could make Charlie 7 minutes faster in his record attempt? Watch the full video above and subscribe to the Stryd YouTube Channel for more tests coming from the lab soon.
Best of luck to Charlie as he chases the 100K world record this Saturday, September 7th, in Lithuania.
